Tesla has issued a notice asking for service technicians for its Tesla Semi, looking for people in Canada.
Shortly after, the company also added many new positions for different locations such as:
- Fremont, California
- Reno, Nevada
- Stockton, California
- Rocklin, California
- Fresno, California
By listing new locations for the Mississauga, Ontario, and Canada regions, it appears that Tesla wanted to add service capacity to support local Tesla Semi customers, such as Walmart Canada, which is based in the region and has ordered over 100 electric trucks from Tesla.

As for the new locations in California and Nevada, the first four are clearly to support the route between the company's Fremont factory and Gigafactory Nevada.
Tesla will transport a ton of products on the 260-mile route between the two factories.
All batteries and motors are produced in Nevada and shipped to California, where Tesla manufactures and assembles its electric vehicles.
This is therefore the initial route on which the upcoming Tesla Semi trucks will be used.

Tesla has already used its early prototypes on the road to some extent, but now plans to start production soon and usage should increase, hence the new service locations.
Jerome Guillen, president of Tesla Heavy Trucking, previously said the automaker plans to be its own customer on this route with the Tesla Semi.
The potential savings are significant, with lower operating costs per mile.
