It is strategically located between the Bay Area and Los Angeles, which are two of Tesla's largest markets in the world, and provides some great amenities, despite being in a sparsely populated area.

It was also the site of the company's short-lived project . Now it's set to become the world's largest Tesla Supercharger station.

Currently, Harris Ranch Supercharger only has 18 charging stations, but as announced by Tesla, the company plans to add more than 82 charging stations to the station.

Currently, Tesla is a 72-pole station in Shanghai. However, many argue that Tesla's latest 56-pole charging station in Firebaugh, California, not far from Harris Ranch, is larger, as it is equipped with 250kW V3 Superchargers instead of the 120kW one in Shanghai.

Now the new Supercharger station expansion at Harris Ranch is expected to eclipse both of those stations with its new superchargers being developed with 250kW V3 technology.

The higher the charging output, the faster the electric vehicle can be charged depending on the capacity. With faster charging, the average charging period at the station is reduced and the capacity is increased.

According to Harris Ranch Inn & Restaurant reports, Tesla is also planning to deploy energy storage at the newly updated Supercharger station. This could potentially save on high-demand charging during peak periods seen in California during the summer months.

The automaker is talking about increasing the use of its own fixed energy storage products at its Supercharger stations to help manage load on the grid and reduce costs.
