Unlike outgoing Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Bill Gates isn't as interested in putting people into space.
"So, it's important to say that what Elon did with Tesla is one of the biggest contributions to climate change that's ever been made. And you know, underestimating Elon Musk is not a good idea," Gates told Kara Swisher on the "Sway" podcast. However, he added that he's not a "Martian" and doesn't "believe that rockets are the solution.".

The Microsoft, whose fortune exceeds $130 billion according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, has released a new book titled "How to Avoid a Climate," and in the interview he said we need to focus on some of the biggest problems of climate change here on earth.
He said companies like Tesla are doing great work on "easy things, like passenger cars," but that we need to focus on other industries to make a big difference on climate change.
“We’re basically not doing enough on the most important things: steel, cement and meat,” he said. “And unfortunately, the things that people think of as the solution – electricity and passenger cars – are one-third of the problem. So we have to work on the other two-thirds.”
Bill Gates said he would rather spend money on measles vaccines than travel to space on a rocket. "I'm not going to pay a lot of money for a trip like that because foundation can buy measles vaccines and save a life by giving $1,000. So whatever I do, I always think that with that money buy a measles vaccine."
