Korean automaker Kia has announced that it will launch 11 electric vehicle (EV) models by 2026.

Kia has announced an update to Plan S, which advocates transforming the automaker into a mobility brand.
Ho Sung Song, president and CEO of Kia Corporation, commented:
Kia is reborn in 2021 with a new logo, new design and new corporate name. Kia will transform into a brand that excites and inspires customers with innovative mobility experiences.
Kia said the Plan S update focuses on “the transition from the internal combustion engine (ICE) to electrification.” In terms of the electric transition, Kia is targeting “environmentally friendly vehicles” that it wants to account for “40 percent of all sales .”
Starting with the launch of its first dedicated EV later this year, Kia will strengthen its EV lineup by 2026 with 11 new models.
The first new vehicle is set to be built on the E-GMP platform. Kia expects to reveal more details about the electric vehicle, which will also be equipped with some autonomous features, next month.
The fact that Kia will release 11 new electric vehicles in just five years shows that it is making a very serious effort in this area.
