Spotify is the latest techto shift to a flexible work model due to the Covid-19.

As it announced on Friday, it is adapting to a flexible work model, called “Work from Anywhere,” which will allow employees to choose whether they want to be in the office full-time, be at home full-time, or combine both.
The company will also introduce more flexibility in locations, so that employees can choose the country and city they want to work in. Spotify will offer workplace subscriptions for employees who choose to work remotely but still want a dedicated workspace.
"As part of our ongoing dynamic work effort, we are reviewing our workplaces around the world for increased sustainability, flexibility and wellness to ensure that all of our employees, regardless of their ability or status, can work comfortably and effectively," the company said in a post.
«The ultimate goal of the new design approach is to ensure that employees have a place where they can focus, collaborate and create – whether it’s an office, a conference room or a coffee shop.»
The Covid-19 pandemic has led a large number of companies to consider remote work as a more permanent option due to the pandemic. Salesforce announced this week that it will allow its employees to choose whether they want to return to the office, saying “the 9-to-5 workday is over.” Twitter and Square are letting employees work from home “forever,” while Microsoft said employees will have more flexibility to work from home.
