Japanese company Cocoa Motorshas created the Walkcar, a personal electric vehiclethat it describes as the "car in your bag."
The Walkcar, which can fit into a fairly small backpack, has a compact and stable construction. It actually looks like a laptop with wheels, but is much more durable. Its underside is made of carbon fiber and has a very nice handle.
Its wheels have an impressive resemblance to those of an office chair. They are hard and coated with rubber.

The Walkcar works similarly to the Onewheel, in that there are four sensors on the top of the platform and when your feet touch all four, the board moves forward. Balancing may be a little tricky at first, but the Walkcar is so close to the ground that if you feel uncomfortable, you can easily get off without falling.
To stop, you need to lift your toes and as soon as one of the sensors is released, the vehicle will gradually stop.

The Walkcar has three modes, which you can change with a button located on the back of the device. In the fastest mode, it exceeds 10 mph. This may not sound fast, but when you stand on a platform the size of a laptop, you actually feel that it goes very fast. It is also worth noting that the Walkcar does not move backwards.
As for its wheels, they are more durable than they look. They can handle cracks in sidewalks and irregularities in the asphalt very satisfactorily, without slipping. But even when they slip on a larger obstacle, you can simply get off the Walkcar without any risk of falling.
Regarding its price, the Walkcar comes in at $1,980. It's certainly a pretty high price, but true enthusiasts of this type of vehicle will definitely be compensated by the experience.
