Connecting a Samsung Galaxy smartwatch to a new phone can be a difficult or even annoying process, as it is not as easy as simply pressing a “pair” button. • First, you need to press the “Power Button” to open the app drawer and then tap the “Settings” app from the list.

• Scroll to the bottom of the “Settings” and tap “Connect to a new phone”.

• It will then ask you to back up your data , which is a good idea to do so that the transition is as smooth as possible.
• Tap “Back up data”. Tap back up data

• This will launch the Galaxy Wearable app on your old phone and open the backup settings. Select “Back up data.” Select data backup.

• After “Preparation”, you’ll see a list of things you can back up. Select all the categories you want to save, then tap “Back up.

• Tap “Done” when complete. Now go back to your watch and go to the “Connect to new phone” screen again . This time, tap “Continue .” Everything on the device will be erased.

• Once the watch is reset, it will reboot. We can now switch to your new smartphone . Open the Galaxy Wearable app and select your device from the list.

• It will search for your smartwatch in the vicinity. Select your watch from the list when it appears .

• Then, tap the screen to connect to your watch and tap “Pair” from the Wearable app.

• You will see a “Finishing Pairing” animation in the Wearable app. It will say “Watch Paired” when it is complete. Tap “Agree” to continue.

• Then, connect the appropriate plugin for your specific watch. Click “OK” on the pop-up message to continue.

• Select any of the options shown on this screen or tap “Skip”. If you made selections, tap “Next”.

• You will be asked to sign in to account . You need to do this to access the backup we made earlier. Tap “Sign in”.

• Follow the steps to enter username and password .

• The app will now ask if you want to restore from a backup. Select “Check backups” and then tap “Next”.

• Finally, select all the things you want to restore and press the “Restore”.
