1: Connect one end of the HDMI cable to your computer. The HDMI connector is usually located on the back of the motherboard if you have a desktop computer or on the side of a laptop.

Some computers use a regular HDMI port, while others have a mini HDMI or MiniDisplay.

For HDMI mini and MiniDisplay cables, one end of the cable should be HDMI mini or MiniDisplay (depending on your computer), while the other end should be regular HDMI.

Some computers don't have an HDMI port. Older computers may use a VGA or DVI cable. However, you can connect them to a TV's HDMI port using a converter. If you're using a laptop that doesn't have an HDMI or other output port, you can purchase a USB-to-HDMI converter. In this case, you may need to install software on your computer.
