Google has announced that users of the Google Maps app will soon be able to report new types of incidents on their iPhones.
In a post , Google said it added the ability to report new incidents we encounter on the road in real time, such as speed bumps and accidents, to the latest version of the iOS app released last week.
Such reports can also be made by other apps, such as Google's Waze. There is also the ability to report speed bumps there and it has been available in the Android version of the app for quite some time.
Google says this reporting feature is one of the “most popular on Android.”.
However, Google has also added the ability to report other types of incidents to the Google Maps app. These new reporting features are appearing on both the Android and iOS apps.
New reporting options include “trash on the roadway,” “construction work,” “damaged vehicles,” and “lane closures.”.
The new features for the Android and iOS apps will begin rolling out globally this week.
