Apple has just launched a free repair program for certain iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus models.
If you're having trouble with your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus, which stubbornly refuses to turn on, it may be due to a component failure and could qualify for a free repair from Apple.
The iPhones included in the company's program were manufactured from October 2018 to August 2019, making them among the most recent models.
Owners who have already paid for repairs to devices may be among those who will receive a refund.
To see if your device is eligible, enter your iPhone's serial number into Apple's serial number checker.
How do you find your serial number?
Depending on the product, you can find your serial number:
- On the surface of your product.
- In iTunes, if the product syncs with iTunes.
- On your Mac computer, by selecting About This Mac from the Apple menu.
- On an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, iPod, or Apple Watch, by going to Settings > General > About.
In case you don't have your product or it doesn't activate
- If you have the original packaging of your product, you can check the barcode to find the serial number of your device.
- If you have an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or iPod, you can get the serial number from the Devices in iTunes preferences.
- You can also find your product's serial number on your original product receipt or invoice.
