The Apple Watch Series 4 was created to save lives, at least that's what the company. It's also the first smartwatch to have built-in features like ECG and fall detection. According to Apple Watch owners, the watch has kept its promise and is capable of successfully saving many lives.

Specifically, in June, an Apple saved a man's life by detecting his irregular heartbeat, and recently it saved another life.
A woman named Anne Rowe from Alabama was saved from a possible heart attack, thanks to the watch.
In a statement, Anne Rowe said she was diagnosed with asthma many years ago, but recently her condition had worsened. "It had gotten to the point where I couldn't walk around the house without being out of breath.".
However, she discovered the real situation when her husband, Rowe, gave her an Apple Watch Series 4 for Christmas and she decided to try out the ECG feature. After frequently testing the feature, her watch revealed that she was suffering from atrial fibrillation.

Atrial fibrillation is a condition where different electrical impulses fire simultaneously in the heart, causing rhythm deviations. This is a serious issue, as it can lead to an increased heart rate, difficulty breathing, and can even cause a stroke or heart attack.
After visiting a hospital and having a full ECG (Electrocardiogram) test, it was confirmed that she did indeed have atrial fibrillation. She underwent open-heart surgery to replace her mitral valve, which resolved her irregular heartbeat and reduced her chances of a stroke.
Anne Rowe's conclusion: "I have no doubt that the watch saved my life.".
