The Debian development team has released the seventh point release of Debian 9. The new Debian 9.7 includes all the latest patches, as well as a security update that fixes a recently discovered APT vulnerability.
So if you already have Debian 9 installed then you don't need to download any of the new ISOs, just update your system.
Both Debian and Ubuntu released new versions of APT to all their supported distributions, but the Debian Project decided to release new ISOs for Debian GNU/Linux 9.7 Stretch.
“The Debian Project announces the 7th update of the stable Debian 9 distribution (codename stretch), which incorporates the recent security update for APT, in order to ensure that all new installations of stretch will not be vulnerable,” states the announcement of the new release.
