Facebook announced improvements to the content quality functions of pages, to ensure that the content shared via its platform does not violate the social network's rules.
Starting tomorrow, a new tab will be added to the dashboard called “Page Quality” or “Page Quality”. The new tab will allow admin staff to see when Facebook deletes posts that violate the platform’s rules or have been deemed false news by third parties.
According to Facebook, “The new Page Quality tab is designed to help people who manage Pages understand how well their Pages comply with our guidelines.”
Η καρτέλα Ποιότητα σελίδας θα συμπεριλαμβάνει δύο ενότητες:
1. Content that we have recently removed for violating our community standards and
2. Content that has recently been rated as “False”, “Mixture” or “False Headline” by third parties.
Page administrators will be able to see content that has been removed for various reasons (e.g., hate speech, violence, harassment and intimidation, nudity or sexual activity, and support for people and events that have been banned on the platform), but the user with the IP that reported them will not appear.
Additionally, Facebook stated that in case of repeated behavior the page will be taken down from its platform.
To address this gap, when we remove a Page or group for violating our policies, we may now also remove other Pages and Groups even if that specific Page or Group has not met the threshold to be unpublished on its own. To enforce this updated policy, we’ll look at a broad set of information, including whether the Page has the same people administering it, or has a similar name, to one we’re removing.
The new measures are expected to be implemented in the coming weeks and we are very curious to see what will happen.
How reliable can reports from third parties, who may be competitors of a page, be?
