The next Windows 10 update due in spring 2019 will include support for kaomoji, the latest emoji trend that relies solely on regular text.

Kaomoji have risen in popularity, and perhaps one of the most well-known examples is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, which is regularly used on social networks. Microsoft, knowing that kaomoji have become a trend, decided that Windows 10 would provide easy access to the most common characters.
So, the latest version of Windows 10 19H1 build 18305, comes with support for this feature, bringing the most popular kaomoji to the emoji UI, to the operating system.
Users enrolled in the fast ring of the Windows Insider program can try it out if, after installing Windows 10 19H1 build 18305, they simultaneously press the Win + Greek question mark or Win + right arrow keys.
Additionally, emoji icons come with a dedicated symbol button, with sections such as punctuation, currency, language symbols, geometric, Latin, and math. All are available on the same screen and can be easily inserted into a chat or text field with a single click or tap on them.
Windows 10 19H1 is expected to be finalized in March, and Insiders across all rings should receive the RTM build before the end of the month.
