Microsoft has just released a new version of Windows 10 to users in the fast ring of the Windows Insider program.

Windows 10 build 18290 comes with a welcome visual improvement. Among the changes it brings are that users can manually synchronize the clock with a time server, and Windows 10 build 18290 also introduces a new system tray icon that shows which apps are using the microphone.
The company says, “In Build 18252, we introduced a new microphone icon that appears in the notification area and lets you know when an app is accessing your microphone. Starting today, if you hover over the icon, it will show you which app is using the microphone. Double-clicking the icon will open Microphone Privacy Settings.”.
Windows Update will also display an icon in the system tray to let you know when a restart is required to complete the installation of new updates, while the Mail & Calendar app officially receives support for Microsoft To-Do with version 11001.20106.
Windows 10 19H1 is expected to be finalized in March as version 1903, ahead of a public release in April.
