Dell provided its latest laptop (Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition 9370), with the latest version of Ubuntu Linux 18.04 Long-Term Support (LTS) from Canonical. The computer is not the company's first that comes with preinstalled Linux operating system, as it also offers the Precision line of laptops and desktop computers with Ubuntu or Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.3.
However, the latest XPS 13 series, is a high‑technology series.
All Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition models include dual Thunderbolt ports, a USB 3.1 port, an SD card reader, a headphone jack and a 52‑watt battery. The most expensive version of the Developer Edition features 16GB RAM, a 1TB SSD and a UHD (3840×2160) 13.1‑inch display.
It uses an Intel Core i7-8550U 8th‑generation processor. This model has not been released yet, but will probably cost around $2,000.

If the computer is too expensive for you, the low-end model of the Dell XPS 13 Developer Edition costs $1,050. The model features an Intel Core i5-8250U processor, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD and a Full HD display.
