Question: Can you send emails without an email?

Email is so basic that most of us don't even think about it. We open our email program or page, type the message and recipient, and just hit send.
A simple automated process that we all know and use. e-mail
But do you know of alternative ways to send emails? Yes, there are, and today we're going to mention one that exists in Windows.
We're going to see how you can send an email using Windows PowerShell. You'll need the very powerful Windows PowerShell tool.
Open a PowerShell window by searching for powershell in the Start menu search.
Use the following template to send a message through Gmail. The first few lines that start with dollar signs create the variables needed to send the message, while the Send-MailMessage line is the command that will send your message:

$From = "your_email@gmail.com" $To = "recipient_email@whatever.com" $Cc = "other_recipient@other_mail.com" $Attachment = "C:\users\User_Name\Documents\your_attachment.txt" $Subject = "Your message subject" $Body = "Write your message" $SMTPServer = "smtp.gmail.com" $SMTPPort = "587" Send-MailMessage -From $From -to $To -Cc $Cc -Subject $Subject -Body $Body -SmtpServer $SMTPServer -port $SMTPPort -UseSsl -Credential (Get-Credential) -Attachments $Attachment –DeliveryNotificationOption OnSuccess

If you are currently using Yahoo mail, the server you should use is smtp.mail.yahoo.com and the port is 465. For Outlook, the smtp server is smtp-mail.outlook.com with port 587.
You can remove the attachment and CC lines if you don't need them.
Also make sure to remove them from the Send-MailMessage command line (-Cc $Cc and -Attachments $Attachment ).
The -UseSsl command will ensure that the message you send will be delivered securely using a secure SSL connection.
The -DeliveryNotificationOption OnSuccess option at the end of the command is used to receive a confirmation that your message was sent successfully.
Once you run the command, you will be asked for your username and password (Get-Credential).
Type them in and your email will go out to the recipient, or recipients you specified.
