On Wednesday, July 11, an event on the GDPR regulation was held at the Chamber of Achaia with the keynote speaker being Mr. Manolis Sfakianakis, Lieutenant General (ret.) of the Hellenic Police & Founder of GDPR Greece.
Mr. Manolis Sfakianakis, an expert in internet security issues, presented the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulation, the obligations of businesses and organizations towards it, as well as the sanctions imposed by non-compliance with the regulation.
During the event, Mr. Sfakianakis emphasized that extensive information, training, readiness assessment and ongoing support around the new data are the basic prerequisites for compliance with the GDPR.
In fact, being a co-founder of the GDPR Academy , which provides high-standard services regarding the General Data Protection Regulation, he offered the event participants correct and reliable information on sensitive personal data security issues and answered critical questions that concern Greek citizens.
