Safari: Zero-Day vulnerability allows complete control of Mac computers

SafariA presentation at a white-hat hacker securityin Canada revealed that two vulnerabilities have been discovered in Safari.

Safari, as most people know, is Apple. Its iOS and macOS devices come with Safari out of the box. However, according to this presentation, the browser is not very secure.

Exploiting the vulnerabilities allowed hackers to gain access to the kernel of Mac computers. This is very bad because it essentially means that the attacker can gain complete control of the computer.

What's worse is that Safari has been used for the same purpose again. In 2018, another zero-day vulnerability was used by hackers to gain access and take control of the Touch Bar on a MacBook laptop.

However, Apple has been made aware of the vulnerabilities and is certainly working on a patch to fix the problem. The good news is that, so far, there have been no reports from individuals. Let's hope that no one has been affected by these vulnerabilities.

The research teams phoenhex & qwerty, who revealed the vulnerabilities at the conference, were rewarded with $45,000.
