Your WhatsApp Archive contains many of your happy, sad, and unforgettable conversations. That's why it's good to know that, according to some users, a bug in the platform is deleting all your old messages.
This particular bug first appeared last year and deletes your messages in chronological order, starting with the oldest.
Because, probably, the damage has been done, many WhatsApp fans are sharing their dissatisfaction on Twitter, emphasizing that this issue is bothering them quite a bit. It seems that the bug affects Android users the most. So far, iOS users are safe, but it is not certain that this will not change in the future, if the platform does not take the necessary measures.

Note that, unfortunately, it is still not entirely clear what is causing our messages to be deleted. Is it a feature that we need to disable? Is it an issue that the platform is facing so we are waiting for a patch? Is it a vulnerability that malicious users are exploiting and can manage our accounts? There are many possible scenarios…
However, we must remind you that last year WhatsApp stated that it would delete users' chat history unless they created backups on Google Drive.
Our only suspicious thought is why is it only happening to Android users, is this really a security bug? If not, why hasn't WhatsApp fixed the situation so we don't have to worry?
