A few days ago, we announced the release of Windows 10 Build 17763 to the Fast Ring for Insiders. Today, Microsoft released the same build to the Slow Ring. This release only brings bug fixes and no new features.
Essentially, development of the upcoming Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) has ended. So all recent releases fix a number of minor issues reported by Insiders.
The new Windows 10 build 17763 includes the following fixes and improvements:
Fixed an issue with Flash in Microsoft Edge.
Fixed an issue where thumbnails and icons might not display if there are video files saved to the desktop.
Fixed an issue where some Bluetooth audio devices had no sound in applications that also use the microphone.
Fixed an issue that led to increased battery usage in certain applications such as OneNote.
Fixed an issue in PowerShell where Japanese characters were not displayed correctly.
Build 17763 still has two known issues:
Task Manager doesn't report accurate CPU usage.
The arrows for opening Background processes in Task Manager are constantly blinking and strange.
