The release of the April 2018 Update for Windows 10 is not as smooth as Microsoft thought it would be. In addition to reports of blue screens and errors, there are now reports of poor compatibility with Toshiba SSDs. Microsoft

initially confirmed that “some” Intel SSDs were not compatible with the new version of Windows 10 , and on May 8, 2018, it specified that the Intel SSD 600p Series and Intel SSD Pro 6000p Series were affected.
But Intel’s two SSD series were not the only devices that were not compatible with the new version of Windows 10. Woody Leonhard reported yesterday that (some) Toshiba SSDs were not compatible. Specifically, the Toshiba XG4, XG5, and BG3 series SSDs. Microsoft confirmed this issue in the official answers forum.
Microsoft's recommendation for owners of these devices is to roll back to the previous version of Windows 10 and wait until a fix is released, which the company hopes to release in June.
If you're one of the unlucky ones and want to roll back your Windows operating system to its previous version, read our article for instructions on how to do so.
