Turkish hackers attack Greek sites again

Dozens of Greek websites were attacked by the popular Turkish hacker group Ayyildiz Tim, which has been active since 2002 and carries out ideological defacement attacks. Some school and university sites also fell victim to the Ayyildiz Tim hacker group, which identifies itself as nationalist and Kemalist and has a military character.What is defacement?A defacement attack is a type of website vandalism where hackers infiltrate the website and replace its content with their own messages. In the circle of hackers, there are even online competitions that highlight who will make the most defacements in a certain period of time. Common means of defacement attacks can be: unauthorized access, SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), DNS hijacking and malware infection. Usually, such attacks are guided, while they can often be combined with other types of attacks and data theft.
