Whether Windows 10 Mobile is a dead operating system or not is no longer a debate, as Microsoft itself has recommended users move to Android or iOS if they need apps and device support.
And while the company itself has abandoned the platform and is only releasing security updates until the end of support scheduled for mid-2019, there's something you didn't expect to happen.
Wileyfox, one of the manufacturers that was actually quite dedicated to the world of Windows phones, has decided to restart production of a popular device.

Surprisingly, the Wileyfox Pro is being manufactured again, and the parent company says this is the result of feedback it received. Earlier this year, Wileyfox said it wanted to discontinue this model, indicating that stocks would not be replenished with more units after the existing stock was sold out.
But in a new statement to WL, Wileyfox PR manager Thomas Reed says customers can buy the device again. Additionally, Reed announced a heavily discounted price of £79.99 in the UK. This model originally cost £200, so the price drop is significant.
While a Windows Phone returning to production is certainly good news for users who love this platform, the spec sheet doesn't show anything that got us particularly excited.
The Wileyfox Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 210 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and offers 16GB of storage. There's an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, as well as a fingerprint reader, Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the 5-inch display, and 4G support.
All that remains to be seen is how many people will buy this Windows 10 Mobile phone, but given the current state of the platform that powers it, we don't expect much.
