Bad news for Samsung, as according to recent reports, a Galaxy Note 9 burst into flames while inside a woman's bag.
Where we thought the Note 9 would restore the series' reputation after the scandal caused by its predecessor, the Note 7, it probably won't. We can't forget how bad the Note 7 experience was for the company, as it had to postpone the sale of an entire series of devices.
It took a while for consumers to start trusting Samsung again, and now the Note 9 fire will bring back all the problems the company tried to erase.

Diane Chung, a real estate agent, filed a lawsuit against Samsung in New York court after she claims her Samsung Galaxy Note 9 began to get dangerously hot on September 3.
She stopped using it and put it in her bag, until she started hearing some strange sounds and smoke coming out of it.
As soon as the fire broke out, she immediately emptied her bag, grabbed the cell phone with a piece of cloth, and threw it into a nearby container of water. No one was injured, but the fact that we already have a trial means it was a serious matter.
For now, the incident is in court, which means it still remains to be determined what exactly happened.
Samsung , after the Note 7 fiasco, implemented some very serious safety measures to make sure that an accident doesn't happen again. However, things are showing that it's almost impossible to rule out this type of accident .
