Check out the DIY Raspberry Pi Pocket Projector

Raspberry

Using the Raspberry Pi Zero W, YouTuber Novaspirit Tech released a new video last week in which he reviews MickMake's Raspberry Pi Zero W pocket projector. In the videos below, you'll learn more about how you could build your own Raspberry Pi pocket projector.

The Raspberry Pi Zero W expands the Pi Zero family and features additional wireless LAN and Bluetooth connectivity.

The Raspberry Pi Zero W has undergone extensive compliance testing and meets the following European standards:

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive 2014/30/EU
Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive 2011/65/EU

While the projected images are obviously not as clear as those of high-end projectors, MickMake's projector is certainly good enough to replace a cheap desktop monitor or to help you present your projects on the go at events like Raspberry Jams, Coolest Projects, and Maker Faire. And because of its low power consumption, the entire unit can be powered by the rechargeable battery you might have with you for your cell phone.

In the review video, NovaSpirit Tech goes over most of the projector's playback and specifications, and also runs a series of sharpness tests in various lighting conditions. All you have to do is watch the video and see for yourself what the new Raspberry Pi Zero W pocket projector has to offer.
