We've heard enough stories about people getting into trouble for saying something on social media. With that in mind, if we found out we were wanted for our dream job, specifically at NASA, we'd be thrilled!

Last week, a Twitterlearned that she had won an internship at NASA, and immediately posted about it on her account, showing her excitement and joy.
Another user who accidentally saw her post, believing that the language used was incorrect, replied to the tweet with the single word "Language.", that is, pay attention to the language used.

The random user who responded was Homer Hickam, an aeronautical engineer for nearly 2 decades at NASA who trained astronauts before their space trips. In a follow-up message, he introduced himself.

The issue took on great proportions and there were many responses from other users of the platform. Many supported Homer, saying that such a way of expressing oneself on social media is not appropriate for someone who works at NASA (even for an internship). On the contrary, many users criticized Homer, saying that with his response he is trying to show off his career, his position, and his past.
After dozens of messages followed, with both positive and negative comments, users reported that the collaboration has now been canceled, and the account that made the initial statement has now been deleted.
Homer himself stated that he never suggested canceling the internship, and that he had nothing to do with NASA's move. He also added that he had read the unfortunate engineer's resume and confidently stated that she is capable of achieving a position in the aerospace industry.
