According to the official changelog published by Microsoft, the update introduces a single change to the Creators Update, pending a more complete version that will be released next week, as part of the established Patch Tuesday.
As the company states, this version “encounters an issue that arises after installing the Creators Update, where certain devices detected in the system display incorrect strings or unusual behavior at various points of the user interface (UI), making the UI unusable.”
In short, this update fixes issues that occur after installing the Windows 10 Creators Update, leading to “freeze” of the computer, causing the UI to become unresponsive.
To download update KB4092077, you can check for updates in Windows Update (Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates) or go to the Microsoft Update Catalog: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=KB4092077
We remind you that a few days ago, Microsoft released another cumulative update for systems running Windows 10 Version 1709 (Fall Creators Update), in an attempt to resolve some device connectivity issues.
However, according to user reports, the updated version KB4090913 failed to successfully resolve these issues, while also introducing some additional bugs, causing even more malfunctions.
Microsoft is expected to release new massive updates next week, resolving any issues that have arisen, so affected Windows users are advised to be patient for a little longer.
