Vivaldi Technologies has released a new update for the stable Vivaldi 1.13 series of its Chromium-based browser.
This is a small update that improves Vivaldi 1.13 for proper shutdown when using the Exit menu on Windows , ensuring that the Quit menu has the same utility as the ⌘Q keyboard shortcut found on Mac.
Another Dev Tools regression has also been fixed, causing the browser to not close completely after fixing inspections, along with a crash that could occur when attempting to change zoom settings in a private window. It's worth noting that the new version supports the latest Chromium 63 security patches.
According to Vivaldi developer Ruarí Ødegaard, the team also patched the Debian repositories, allowing ARM users to receive updates for Vivaldi installations on Raspberry Pi single-board computers. You can download Vivaldi.1.13.1008.40 for GNU/Linux, macOS, and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Meanwhile, Vivaldi developers are already working on the next major version of the browser, Vivaldi 1.14, which will introduce mobile web panels and Vivaldi Sync.
Vivaldi Sync is one of Vivaldi's most sought-after features, allowing users to sync passwords, history, bookmarks, and other data across multiple installations. It wouldn't be a surprise if Vivaldi 1.14 is released before the end of the year, celebrating a successful 2017 for the browser, which is now available for Raspberry Pi.
