iOS 11.1.2 will fix iPhone X cold weather issue

Apple finally has a cure for your frozen iPhone X!

coldUsers of Apple's brand new smartphone took to social media shortly after its launch, complaining that their $999 devices stopped responding in cold weather, essentially freezing up. The company acknowledged it was aware of the issue and promised a fix in the near future.

True to its word, Apple has just released the latest version of iOS, 11.1.2. The new update promises to fix screen freezing issues, along with another fix for a camera-related issue.

To update your phone (which is a good idea), head to: Settings-> General-> Software Update.

Apple has already fixed some annoying iOS bugs in the early days of iOS 11, from a problem that affected Outlook email users to the I/A [?] keyboard bug, which ruined every user's digital communications for a week and inspired some truly imaginative memes.

Once you've updated your software, feel free to use your fancy new iPhone X as much as you want during the freezing winter months. Just be aware that your battery may not last as long as usual – and even if your phone doesn't freeze, your fingers will definitely freeze!
