Windows XP doesn't just give up the fight!

Windows XP, the operating system that launched 16 years ago, managed to increase its market share in October 2017, at a time when we all expected such a decline that no one would run it on their systems. Windows XP

Support for Windows XP ended in April 2014, and that means no new security updates, patches, bug fixes, new features, and almost nothing else are released to systems using it.

In other words, Windows XP has remained in the same state for 3 years, with only one exception – an emergency patch that Microsoft released this year to block the WannaCry ransomware.

Based on the above, we conclude that Windows XP is a fairly dangerous choice for your computer, combined of course with the discrepancy you have in the new functions and features available in newer versions of Windows.

But it seems that users are not deterred as the latest market statistics reveal that Windows XP is recovering. Its market share increased from 5.69% in September to 6.47% in October. Essentially, we have an increase of 0.78% in just 30 days.

For many users, upgrading to a newer version of Windows is difficult as it involves a high cost since most of the time, the hardware in order for the system to be able to meet modern software requirements.

As far as businesses are concerned, the effort is even greater as the issue of application compatibility also arises.

Sooner or later, the transition will be forced. But the problem for Microsoft does not stop there, as Windows 7 refuses to die despite its efforts. Therefore, even if Windows XP disappears, Windows 7 will take its place.
