Although hardcore Windows phone fans won't be happy about this news, Microsoft Edge is now available in the Google Play Store, which means Android users can download the Windows 10 browser.
The addition of Microsoft Edge to competing mobile platforms is part of Microsoft's plans to stay active in the smartphone business without having a powerful operating system. Edge was released to iPhone users a few days ago, and now Android devices can enjoy it too.
However, we should note that currently, Microsoft Edge for Android is in a preview stage, so there is a high chance that you will encounter various errors that may significantly affect the performance of applications.
But if everything works perfectly, Microsoft promises a unique experience as Edge comes with a rich feature package including Continue on PC. This particular tool makes it possible to synchronize content between Android and Windows 10 PCs, thus giving you the ability to continue your work from one device to another. Keep in mind that a prerequisite for this feature is that your computer has Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
Additionally, Microsoft Edge will sync data across devices such as your favorites list and reading view which allows for easier reading of website content.
For information, Microsoft Edge requires Android 4.4 or later and is currently only available in English, while the company promised more alternatives would be coming soon.
