Galaxy Note 9 with in-display fingerprint sensor

Galaxy Note 9: This isn't the first time we've heard it, so the news that Samsung, not Apple, will be the one to bring fingerprint sensors integrated into the screen of its next Note phablet seems more and more true.Galaxy Note 9

The reason is the upcoming Galaxy Note 9, which will be released in the summer of 2018 and will offer a mix of iris recognition, facial recognition, and fingerprint sensors.

Apparently, Samsung is already discussing potential partnerships with companies regarding the new fingerprint sensor, with BeyondEyes and Samsung LSI having already sent samples for a series of tests.

Even though we're about 10 months away from the Note 9's release, Samsung has already jumped into the fray with high expectations.

The in-display fingerprint sensor is a technology that Apple failed to offer on the iPhone X, and this is one of the reasons for the delay in the launch of the anniversary model. The company tried hard to integrate the Touch ID into the display, but ultimately decided to abandon the idea and offer the facial recognition system instead.

In other news, Samsung considered adding fingerprint sensors to the Galaxy S8 , but the technology wasn't ready and the company decided to take a more traditional approach with a reader placed on the back of the device.

As for Apple, it's not yet clear whether the company is still interested in adopting such a technology. The future will tell
