BlackBerry Motion with Android 7.1 has just been released!

The Blackberry Motion was recently unveiled at the GITEX 2017 event held in Dubai.Blackberry Motion

At first glance, the BlackBerry Motion appears to be a variant of the BlackBerry KEYone, albeit without a physical keyboard, which is unusual for a BlackBerry phone. The device runs on Google's Android 7.1 "Nougat" operating system and has some interesting specs for a mid-range phone.

It comes with a gorgeous 5.5-inch Full HD 1080p display with tiny bezels and IP67 certification for water resistance. It runs on a Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The main camera is 12MP f/2.0 while the secondary is 8MP f/2.2 with flash and 1080p/30 video recording. The device also offers a fingerprint recognition system and a gigantic 4,000mAh non-removable battery that will last all day.

As for the Snapdragon processor, it runs at 2 GHz paired with an Adreno 506 GPU. microSD cards support up to 2TB. USB-C is also provided, along with 802.11ac/5GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 LE.

The best part of the phone is its custom Android 7.1 operating system , which was designed by BlackBerry with security and privacy in mind. It comes with all the apps that business users need, because BlackBerry stays true to its roots.

The BlackBerry Motion will be available initially in select Middle Eastern markets, but will eventually be available to users in other countries for $460. An upgrade to Android 8.0 “Oreo” is expected to be available for the new device later this year.
