MonoCMS is a content management system , just like WordPress, Blogger, Joomla, etc.
The difference between Monocms and the above is that it belongs to the category of non-database systems. Data processing is done with PHP and their storage in XML.
Thus, it uses the server's file system to store data, which makes it extremely simple, small in size, and very fast.
MonoCMS is made by a Greek web developer who lives in Athens (Panagiotis or Pano z), and so at the same time as the English version, it also acquired a Greek version.
The first compound of the system's name itself comes from the Greek word "mono".
Today, as Panagiotis (project developer) informed us, the new version 3.0.4 was released.
Version 3.0.4 supports comes with improvements to the code, and some additional features.
For more details, see the changelog and Panagiotis's latest note. We quote it as follows:
MonoCMS needs our help…!
We are waiting for your suggestions, whether it is a written opinion or an editing of the system code. As everyone prefers (and knows).
For any related issue with the development of MonoCMS, please communicate preferably through the blog, so that there is a general participation and discussion.
Open source, open to communication, open to creativity.
The most important CMS needs at this time are:
- Javascript programmers, for the part... of javascript.
- Designers – web designers to configure the appearance of the control panel and index and page templates.
I am referring to the two above in which I believe we are lagging behind, simply to help with which direction we can take. Of course, everyone has their own opinion and will proceed based on that. All ideas will be heard and the blog is an open space for any discussion.
