Although Microsoft has abandoned almost all of its Windows Phones since they won't receive the Fall Creators Update, new reports reveal that a new update will be released that will fix several bugs and introduce new features.
One of the new features is improved emoji packs that support the latest Unicode updates.
Although previously only privileged Windows Insider users could use the new emoji, now Microsoft has decided to introduce them to the general public.
The strange thing about this is that Microsoft has not yet made any announcements about the new additions to its phones. Of course, smartphones in general have not been its primary concern lately.
Regarding the new update, it will contain new snacks, dinosaurs and activities emojis that we have already encountered on computers. They are accessible via the touch keyboard and the Emoji Panel. It should be noted that some of the original emojis have been modified based on user preferences.
Additionally, the new update offers support for the Chinese Lunar calendar which has also already been released for computers.
At this point, it is still unclear when exactly the new update will be officially released on smartphones. However, the original plan stipulated that mobile updates would be synchronized with computers. What does this mean? Microsoft's original plan was for new updates, such as the Fall Creators Update, to be released simultaneously on computers and smartphones. As was logical, however, the decrease in interest in mobile devices by users has troubled it, resulting in it not even knowing what the right move is.
