The openSUSE development team announced a new release of the openSUSE Leap version. The new release, openSUSE Leap 42.3, is a maintenance update for the Leap series, and brings primarily secondary updates to the system as well as package updates.
“The Leap 42.3 release provides users with a reliable server operating system for developing IT services in physical, and virtual environments or Cloud environments.
The third release of the Leap 42 series has over 10,000 packages and offers users of the stable 42 release a release update and support for more hardware.
The release ships with the same Linux 4.4 Long-Term-Support (LTS) kernel as the previous Leap release.
Leap 42.3 continues to use KDE 5.8 as the default desktop, as well as GNOME 3.20, which is also used by SUSE Linux Enterprise.
From the installer there are options for more desktops.”
