The Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus bring a change to the series' design by introducing dual-camera setups on the rear and an overall look that is more similar to Huawei's P series than Honor smartphones.
The back panel of the phone has been changed almost completely while only the rear fingerprint scanner retains its position, offering a smoother appearance this time.
Another change is seen in the design of the antenna lines and the dual-lens setup on both the Nova 2 and Nova 2 Plus. It should be noted that the devices are available in Aurora Blue, Grass Green, Gold, Obsidian Black and Rose Gold.
There are several similarities between the Nova 2 and the Nova 2 Plus not only in terms of design but also in terms of features.
Both smartphones feature 20MP secondary cameras with a higher capacity compared to the 8MP of the flagship, P10. One difference between the devices is the screen size as the Nova 2 features a 5-inch LPTS LCD display with 1080p resolution, while the Nova 2 Plus features a 5.5-inch display.
Both smartphones feature a metal body. The battery capacity inside the Nova 2 is 2,950mAh, while the Nova 2 Plus has a 3,340mAh. They will run on Android 7.0 Nougat and are expected to be released in the Chinese market on June 16, with no confirmation yet on when they will be released in other markets.
