GE Lighting has created a new table lamp called C, which is equipped with Amazon's Alexa personal assistant technology and offers the best modern LED lighting combined with Alexa services.

“GE is working to create the ultimate experience through a range of connected products designed to make life at home simpler and help you do more. First in this direction is a modern LED table lamp, which integrates with Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant service, allowing you to use your light to order food, listen to the latest news, preheat your oven or give a host of other voice commands,” said a company spokesperson.
“The voice-controlled light source, with microphones and a speaker, is the first official use of AVS integrated into a lighting product, offering the skills you’d find in a traditional Echo product, without the need for a standalone Echo unit, hub or smartphone. Users simply plug in the C light and connect to Alexa to enjoy a whole new world of technological convenience and smart devices throughout the home.”
