Google has made a major change to the Play Store UI on devices running Android, redesigning the 'My Apps' section and rearranging the list of apps installed on your smartphone or tablet. Google has removed the Subscriptions tabs in the 'My Apps' section, and updates are no longer displayed in the 'Installed' tab.
To make it easier to understand the available updates for installed apps, Google has created a separate tab titled Updates, which includes information such as available updates, when they were rolled out by developers, the most recently updated apps, and when they received updates. Apps with the most recent available updates appear at the top.
The Installed tab displays a list of all the apps found on your device, and Google has added a feature that sorts them alphabetically, by last update, last used, or size. This way, you can identify apps you rarely use and uninstall them to free up space on your phone. The new features make it easier to manage apps on your smartphone and determine which ones are taking up the most space on your phone and which ones are taking up the least.
Google has also renamed the “All” tab to “Library,” but the purpose of this section is the same. It shows users a list of apps that have been previously installed under that particular Google account, regardless of the device they were downloaded and installed on. It’s worth noting that any app entry can be removed from the Library list.
The only tab in the “My Apps” section that Google hasn’t changed is the “Beta” tab, which continues to show installed apps that use Beta builds and offer a quick shortcut to their listing on the Play Store.
