Google officially released Chrome 58 for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Among the additions is support for the IndexedDB 2.0 standard as well as improvements to iframe navigation.
You can update to the latest version now using the browser's built-in silent updater or by downloading the app directly from the familiar address google.com/chrome.
Google Chrome is undeniably more than just a browser: With over 1 billion users, it is a large platform that, with its regular additions and changes to the application, always ensures its users have the latest technology.
As mentioned earlier, Chrome 58 supports the IndexedDB 2.0 standard, which facilitates working with large data sets in the browser. Version 2.0 offers new schema management, bulk operation methods, and standardized bug handling.
Chrome also supports the new iframe sandbox keyword, allowing per-user navigation activation.
This “sandboxed” iframe keyword provides top‑level navigation capability when activated by the user, and blocks any automatic redirection. In this way, Chrome can combat third‑party content that automatically redirects the page, while allowing developers to place third‑party content in sandboxed iframes.
It should also be mentioned that Chrome 58 comes with 29 security fixes.
