One of the most affordable smartphones running Android Nougat is the LG K8 (2017), which has just made its debut on US Cellular. The device was announced in January in the United States, but only T-Mobile and MetroPCS offered it under the LG Aristo name.
However, customers who prefer US Cellular over other carriers now have the option to get it for $50.
The LG K8 (2017) is a decent budget smartphone. Apart from the fact that it will run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, the device will also be equipped with a 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. Furthermore, LG announced that the smartphone comes with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
Although it's not a dual-SIM smartphone, the LG K8 (2017) will feature 4G LTE support for incredibly fast speeds.
The LG K8 (2017) features a 5-inch display with HD (720p) resolution, powered by a 2500 mAh removable battery that provides enough power for at least two days of life with average use.
Regarding the camera, the new smartphone features a pretty impressive 13-megapixel camera with autofocus, f/2.2 aperture, and LED flash on the back, while the secondary camera for selfies and video calls is 5 megapixels.
The good news is that although it will lack a USB Type-C port, it will offer microUSB 2.0 (OTG), FM radio, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity. Surprisingly, the new device also features a fingerprint sensor on the back.
