Introducing the shoes that double as pizza ordering devices
Technology has advanced so much these days that everything is done through electronic devices. However, even that is now considered outdated, compared to the new way you can order pizza! Before we give you more information about this miracle shoe, we first want to assure you that these shoes are indeed real. Shoe Surgeon, a custom sneaker company in Los Angeles, has made 64 pairs of these “Pie Tops” to honor the 64 teams that will make it to the NCAA college basketball tournament in March.
These super-exclusive sneakers will be given away to “media people,” according to AdWeek. However, Pizza Hut fans may also have a chance to win a few pairs, though there’s no word yet on how.
How will they work?
Using the shoe will be particularly easy. When it senses that you want a pizza, simply press the button on the tongue of the right sneaker. This activates the Pie Tops mobile app to order your pizza. The shoes are connected to your phone via Bluetooth.
As for what toppings you want on your pizza, you can choose them through the app. From there you can also change how easy it is to order with your shoe, so you don't order something by mistake.
These smart shoes are definitely unnecessary, as we live in a world where we can already order everything from a phone or computer. However, we can't deny that Pie Tops are pretty awesome. Now someone just needs to make a version that integrates Amazon Dash Buttons and we'll be all set!
