Sony company recently conducted a study on finding new and innovative ways to use selfies in the future. claims that the selfie trend is now a cultural phenomenon and many people spend several hours a day taking the perfect selfie.
Sony said that the camera is one of the most important elements of a smartphone, allowing users to capture personal moments and share them with friends. That's why the Xperia XZ features a 13MP front camera that delivers stunning selfies.
There are not few smartphone manufacturers that have recognized users' desire for high-capacity front cameras and have integrated a powerful snapper selfie even in mid-range phones. A characteristic example is the Galaxy A7 (2017), whose front camera is 16MP with an f/1.9 aperture.
Sony, for its part, has collaborated with Dr. Ian Pearson, a member of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences, with the aim of jointly exploring the different possibilities that the company can benefit from by integrating them into the selfie camera.
Dr Pearson concluded that the camera of smartphones could be used in the medical sector where patients could make video calls with their doctors instead of wasting time in waiting rooms. Also, the “selfie passwords” could be used in the banking sector as 50% of people aged 25-34 state that they prefer to access their bank accounts by taking a selfie that will allow the network to identify and locate them.
