Much to the surprise of Donald Trump, the president of the United States, Anonymous posted a series of notices on Twitter threatening to expose his ties to Russia.
Anonymous shared the posts after the president tweeted that outgoing CIA Director John Brennan was involved in spreading fake news that has made headlines in recent weeks, including reports of Russian nuclear proliferation in Syria, Crimea and Ukraine.
Anonymous, through the account @YourAnonCentral, which has over 150,000 followers, accused Trump of being involved in many of Russia's shady activities. They went on to accuse him of also having personal and financial ties to the Russians.
" We are no longer in the 80s, information does not disappear overnight. You will regret the next four years that follow. We are not interested in the Democrats who attack you but in the truly dark things that you have committed. Your father is no longer here to protect you and we will not be afraid of your interns who intend to hit us. It will simply be a waste of time Mr. Trump," they wrote.
Apparently Donald Trump has not responded to Anonymous' tweet, although there is absolutely no chance that he has not seen it since he is a big fan of the platform.
However, the president has stated that he will not deactivate his personal Twitter account for as long as he is in office. Therefore, we will certainly encounter similar cases in the future with Mr. Trump and his words being targeted.
