Before that, the first place was held by former US President Barack Obama .

Currently, Elon Musk has around 133,188,555 followers at the time of writing this article. On the other hand, Obama is in second place with 133,029,199 followers. The former US president primarily uses Twitter for business purposes, while Musk’s tweets cover a wide range of topics. He has also used his account to communicate various changes coming to Twitter and has conducted various polls regarding some major decisions, such as Donald Trump ’s return to the platform and his resignation as CEO of Twitter.
