Razer's Project Valerie , a funny laptop with a triple screen and crazy features, was perhaps the most original project of CES 2017. After its official announcement, of course, we learned that two of Razer's prototypes were stolen .
Today the company announced that it is offering $25,000 to anyone who provides information about the fate of the two laptops that will lead to the arrest of the thief.
According to the statement published by Polygon:
“This note confirms that two prototype Razer Project Valerie laptops were stolen from the company’s booth at CES. The products disappeared from the Razer press room at approximately 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 8, 2017.
We are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect. Razer, in its sole discretion, will determine who is eligible for the reward and in what amount.
Razer may only pay a portion of the maximum reward it offers. The decision will be based primarily on law enforcement's assessment of the value of the information provided. Where multiple pieces of information are available, the reward will be split in amounts to be determined by the company.
Company associates are not eligible for the reward.
Information regarding the theft can be sent to legal@razerzone.com.Razer will not disclose the details it receives to anyone other than those with whom the company is directly working to resolve this matter.”
