Do you want your kids to read more? Amazon has the solution. On Wednesday, it launched Amazon Rapids, which contains hundreds of short stories for children for a monthly subscription of 2.70 euros.
The idea of the application was created with the aim of attracting the attention of minor internet users. The application essentially includes short stories that develop through illustrative dialogues between two friends or a parent and a child or even an alien and a child. Its operation is very easy as the young user can move on to the next story by simply touching the touch screen. There is also the “read to me” where the story is recorded.
According to Michael Robinson, director of consumer product education, the goal of the new application is to entertain children and practice their reading in an original and enjoyable way.
Amazon didn't stop there, having already introduced Amazon Inspire , which is aimed at educators. Those interested can subscribe to a monthly subscription to receive updates on children's books, games, apps, movies, and watch educational videos on children's topics.
It is worth noting that the Amazon Rapids application is one of hundreds of products and services that Amazon has recently launched with the aim of satisfying our little friends. These releases have led to great financial success for Amazon, resulting in giants such as Microsoft, Google and Apple showing enormous interest in creating similar products and applications.
Amazon Rapids is available for iOS, Android, and Amazon Fire devices and is aimed at ages seven to 12. All stories on the app are thoroughly edited and reviewed before being published.
