Seagate has just unveiled its latest product: a new 60TB SSD. It's the world's largest capacity drive, boasting four times the capacity of Samsung's latest 15TB drive.
Of course it is not for the general public. The company presented the device as a solution for data centers that need reliable units for long‑term data storage, and hopes it will be released to the market sometime in 2017.
A drive of that capacity probably won't come cheap. For comparison, Samsung's 15TB SSD, which hit the market earlier this month, costs $10,000.
The disc was presented during the Flash Memory Summit in Santa Clara, California.
