The Olympic Flame appears to have a Twitter account. Through it, you can follow its journey from the birthplace of the Olympic Games, Ancient Olympia, to Rio, where the 2016 Olympic Games will be held.
The OlympicFlame Twitter account will broadcast snapshots, videos and news from her 5-week journey around the world, which began today.
The 450 specially selected torchbearers will carry the flame on a 2,200-kilometer journey across Greece over the next six days before it is handed over to Brazilian officials in Athens. The flame will then travel to Rio de Janeiro where it will light the altar at the Maracana Olympic Stadium.
In total, there will be 10,000 torchbearers carrying the flame over 12,000 miles from Greece to Brazil.
So, if you are interested in learning more about this journey, all you have to do is follow the @OlympicFlame account.
